Eliminate Debt…Build Wealth…Achieve Financial Peace!
What is Financial Peace University – and why should I take the course?
Financial Peace University (FPU) is a 13-week financial management class built upon common sense, Biblically–based financial principles. The class combines Dave Ramsey’s entertaining and fast–paced video lessons on money management with the accountability of small group discussions and relationships.
“Seventy percent of families are living pay check to paycheck,” states Ramsey. “They are overworked and overstressed because of the out-of-control spending that our culture encourages. FPU teaches God’s plan for money management.”
Two FPU classes will be begin at St. Paul’s in August – one on Sundays 5-7 p.m. and one on Thursdays 6-8 p.m. The Sunday class will begin August 24, and the Thursday class on August 28.

Financial Peace University has had a HUGE impact on my life! By Laurie Rice
I attended a Dave Ramsey seminar six years ago, and I was hooked. Seeing Dave Ramsey live is an awesome experience – filled with great teaching and very motivational.
After attending the seminar, I knew I wanted more, so I signed up for FPU at a church in Goose Creek. I never imagined that learning how to handle money could actually be done in such a fun and entertaining way! He takes you through baby steps so that you won’t be overwhelmed – even if you are totally immersed in debt.
Since my first FPU six years ago, I have facilitated the course three times. I have paid off over $60,000 in debt, and I am now debt free, including my house. I have an emergency fund and have experienced what a blessing that can be. But it didn’t happen overnight. As Dave says, he does not offer any “microwave” solutions.
Even though I will be attending FPU for the 5th time when St. Paul’s offers the course beginning in August, I am still just as excited as I was at the completion of my first class. Each time I attend, I learn new things and reinforce what I have already learned. I hope to see you there! I think you will be pleasantly surprised -- and rewarded many times over. |
