What is Alpha
Alpha is a series of gatherings where people come together over food, conversation, and a chance to explore the Christian faith.
Each gathering includes a meal, a short presentation, and plenty of time for conversation. You don’t have to know the Bible. You don’t have to call yourself a Christian. And you don’t have to agree with everything you hear.
Just come, eat, listen, and talk.
What Happens at Alpha?

Alpha is a place to explore those questions—without pressure, judgment, or having to have all the answers.
Beginning January 4, 2027, St. Paul’s is offering a new Alpha experience for anyone who is curious about Christianity, returning to faith, or simply looking for a place to wrestle with the bigger questions of life.

What Will Alpha Look Like?
We’re taking a fresh look at Alpha at St. Paul’s, creating an experience that is welcoming, relational, and rooted in the life of the Church.
Alpha begins Monday, January 4, 2027.
We’ll begin the evening together over dinner and then spend time exploring some of life’s biggest questions.
Kickoff: January 4, 2027
Time: 6:00 PM
Location: Godwin’s Beer Hall
Beginning January 11, we will meet on the Campus of St. Paul’s Summerville. 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Dinner and childcare provided. This lasts until March 1. There will also be an on-site retreat weekend February 19 – 20.
Alpha will continue for several weeks following the kickoff, with each gathering centered around a different question about life, faith, God, and Jesus.
